Hamilton City Ballet will continue to offer our usual classes in this new building in conjunction with the new academy.

Last chance to see the hit musical: “THE PAJAMA GAME” ~ Friday, July 24 at 7:30pm, presented at the Studio Theater at Hamilton Place. Directed and produced by Jennifer Waxman, a former student of Hamilton City Ballet presently studying at New York University. We recommend you see this show, so get a sitter for the kids - you deserve a night-out! Also, you will be supporting the Arts and the young artists of Hamilton. BRAVO! to Jennifer and cast members of “THE PAJAMA GAME” !!!
Some students are off for exciting summer dance adventures this summer.
Caleigh, Ailish, Emilie, Cassandra, and Alexandra are all flying south for two to three weeks this summer to train with the Ballet Nacional de Cuba. The Cuban School offers intensive training for students in the Cuban tradition. Stay cool girls!
Caleigh and Alissa will be attending the Ballet Jorgen summer training program in August at George Brown College.
We look forward to seeing everyone again in our new studio for the HCB summer camps in August and in the fall for regular classes.
Every year at this time, everyone at HCB is both excited and sad to learn that some dancers will be graduating from our school and moving on to other endeavours. This year the following students will be moving forward in their studies in dance and academics along with other adventures.
Ulana has been accepted to the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC where she will be headed for the summer and possibly afterwards. Ulana has been with HCB since the very beginning and we are very sad to see her go, but excited at all the wonderful opportunities that lie before her!
Liam will be pursuing his dance studies at Ryerson College in the Fall. Liam had a successful year at HCB and he will be sadly missed as a partner for all those girls we have, (with so few boys!)
Victoria will be attending McMaster University in the fall. We wish her all the best in her studies!

Congratulations to Alissa and Emilie on their wonderful dance performances in the Hamilton Urban Theatre Production of “Hamlet”. The acting was excellent, the set design simple but effective and the dancing enhanced the mood of this tragic tale. The Dance Choreographer was Robert Desrosiers. For those who missed this fine production, be sure to catch the next production by Hamilton Urban Theatre and let’s hope they include dancing again! We are truly lucky here in Hamilton to have such a vibrant arts community in so many areas!
